So I'm officially back, as of Jan.6th 2011. I've been gone since October 29th 2010.

Why?
Again, due to my awesome body.

Another set of health issues. Normally that in itself would not keep me away from sl, but this has been a weird case.

If you care to know a bit about what was up here we go:

I started getting migraines with my first child, during pregnancy. Never had even headaches that much even. They were worse with the second pregnancy. Then I started having my left eye not totally black out, but my vision would go red. Could see lights and things, but not much else. It only ever happened when I'd get a really bad migraine, but those were happening more often.

One thing about them, I couldn't be on the computer, they just made them worse.

I went to get checked out, but they were not totally sure *Exactly* what it was.

I have to go get my head scanned in 2 weeks. They think I have some foreign mass of buildup, and when my head swells during the migraines, it pushes it on my optical nerves.

Anyways, I have conditioned myself to be able to come online again, cause I miss sl, so I'm back working starting today.

I'm sorry about my annual Halloween hunt, and missing the holidays and stuff. I'm planning on making up for some of that.

You'll see very soon an announcement for My *Very Merry Un-Halloweemas* (title in progress) Event, which will be in February. It'll be some sort of weird mix of Halloween and Winter Holidays, and somehow I'll make it work without it being The Cheese.

Groupies----> I'm sending you all the gifts from the annual Halloween hunt that didn't have halloween stuff all over them, which was about half of the products. So enjoy! it's a big ass box, it'll be in the Group Notices.

So here it all is:

Sculpted vest. Comes in 2 accent colour versions, red and blue. Has a seperate attachment with 250 gems shapes into a Union Jack Flag. Copy/Mod so you can move things and shape as needed.

Crazy, punky pompom hair. Included is the standard Black, White, Blue and Red, also a White/Red/Blue vesion special for the event, plus two Blacks with differnet coloured bangs, one with blue, one with red.

Something fun I made. My sis says it's very Canadian, duct tape and all! Unisex, and moddable.

Fun mini mohawk to match the above vest accents.

I decided to use a pant I made a while back, but never released for this event. I left some of them plain, and then did some in plaid, cause who doesn't need more plaid? There are 14 versions and the rare prize being a pair of my Duct Tape Junle Clomps! Only L$13 per play. Pants are trasferable for sharing, the boots however are not. Good luck!

Another of my "Inspired by shit laying around the house" pieces. This one of the discraded pearl earrings from my exploaded purse. No litterally, my purse exploaded, was not fun. Anyways I can see this piece on the catwalks for sure!

I did up a special colouration, just for Hairfair and only for Hairfair. So this is not only Exclusive, but Limited Edition too! I have it set to only L$100 with 50% going to Wigs for Kids.

The Frist of my Horoscope line, Virgo. This Unisex style has a "Wet" look and has a wing attachment for the head.

It can't be Hairfair unless The Stringer has a Mohawk! This bad boy is BIG! and has a fuckton of prims, but that is okay, you'll love it to bits once you see it's movement on your head!

This is my 50% Charity Item this year at Hairfair. It's my mens style, and I love it to bits. An awesome friend was making Ribbon/Knit textures and handed me tis one, and I've been sticking it on everything possible. I loved it on this hat, and just had to do soemthing with it. Might be a bit tame for The Stringer, but duuuuuude my man alt looks HOT! I want to nom on him, but then that is like self canabalisim isn't it?

When you got such a group of ladies , it's hard to pick just one to make something for. So I chose my top 5 ladies to work off of, and this set popped out. Each colouration has detials that tie in to it's namesake. These are transferable and come in all layers. You get the whole set for L$300.

New Unisex Hair! Yes the ad just has a chic, deal. The hair looks awesome on the dudes. Rose Red is such a rebelious Fable, couldn't pass up the chance on making something to do with her. This short punky style is just one of the many she wears in the comic. L$113 for a pack of 4 colours. These are my new 2010 hair textures, so enjoy!

Lumi the Snow Queen is one of the Ebil Characters in the comic series. I made a set of skins inspired by her, in 2 tones. Now these are in the Gatcha, and are only L$13 each play. I also have a Rare prize in there, a monochromatic pair of the " Briar Rose a Go-go" Boots. The skins are all transferable, so you can trade them to complete your collection. Ghost Stories gone Wrong!

This one sort of got made because of a funny series of sl events.

The basic idea is that a group of people are sitting by a campfire, eating toasty marshmellows, and telling ghost stories. This is basically what the ghosts do after a series of bad tales.

Hello everyone and welcome to Aurora Vale's summer hunt held by C&D Designs. This hunt is a camp/beach themed one, meant to be fun & give you time to explore the sim. It's also in celebration C&D Design's 3rd year anniversary. So put on your sun screen and hat and let's get going!

There are quite a few prizes from various designers. Some are paid ones, since the designer's have taken such good care in creating many great items. You are looking for seashells and these range from L$0 to L$50. They are hidden all over the sim, including sim tunnels and in the stores themselves. You have 2 weeks to find them all !

Here's a preview for some, as part of the hunt sign.

Prizes/gifts range from Camping gear, tents, campfires, inflated rafts, rainsticks, to beachwear, camp t's, & hair. More will be added as the hunt goes along and announced in the C&D Designs groups.

3rd Annual Starlust Pantie Raid

I'm lucky enough to yet again be in Starlust's Pantie Raid.

This year I did something special, and made both guy and girl items. They actually aren't even panties but Bathing Suits. I got awesome Board Shorts for the Men and BodySuits for the Women.

I have 6 clams in total, one on 6 of the 8 sims that the event takes place on. 3 for the men and 3 for the women.

It will eventually comprise of 40 designers, each bring you a design every wednesday with the darker themes in mind. These items will be set for only L$50. What's up Stringer?

***Press Release***

Helena Stringer, your ever faithful mohawk lovin lady, had had a bad go of 2009 and early 2010.

In real life her carbon-based lifeform was attempting to have another offspring. She lost 5 thru the year, thus causing issues with her iron levels. Exhausted all the time, she started not being able to handle the load she set for herself with her SL.

Sometime in October she got super sick. It was the time of the swine flu. But alas the answer was not so simple. Doctors had no clue what was wrong with her, it wasn't the dreaded piggly sickness. Over the course of a few weeks, she lost 40 pounds, was unable to eat anything, and her organs started to fail.

They sent off her tests to the University of Western Ontario, to be analyzed more thouroughly. In the meantime, her condition started to get worse.

Come the week before xmas, she was finally able to eat rice crispy cereal. You'd think this was a godsend, but after weeks of it, 4 times a day, it can make you sick just to look at it.

In the new year, they finally had some news for her. Seems that she was allergic to a chemical that was being sprayed on the fields around her house. As she was breathing in the corn dust in the fall, she had inhaled some of the offending spores. These spores had become toxic in her system, which lead to her Kidneys and Liver to stop functioning properly. Compounded with her already low iron levels, and then the fact that she could not eat as a side effect of the toxic allergic reaction, things just were not getting better.

Then . . .

She started to notice a lump, even with her having lost weight, in her belly region.

The Stringer was preggo.

The offspring on top of all the other stuff going on, was slowly eating Stringer from the inside out. First to go was all her muscle mass.

Luckily, before things got too crazy, they found out exactly what was up, gave her some meds, pumped her with some stuff in IV form.

Being watched closely, the condition of the baby was great, all things aside.

May 27th was suppose to be the happy day, sadly as with all things Stringer, events don't always go as planned.

Without making this report too long, there was a month of a mess with various doctors, and The Stringer went in to have her Baby Boy on the 30th of June(yes late, very late!). The one good thing about that was the fact that she ended up with a delivery doctor that looked like an ax murderer, rather the the doctor that looked like a deer caught in headlights, who also happened to be a baby dropper!

Fuck NOOOOOOO!

Now there was mention of the baby being a boy. They had said 90% chance.

Well it had funny parts when it popped out, didn't look right.

ZOMG!!!

GIRL!

Shyanne Rose-Marie was born June 30th at 11:04pm(almost canada's day, tho we can still blow shit up for the birthday anyways). She was 9 pounds 5 ounces and 51cms long(20 inches).

The Stringer brought her lil spawn home, and had been caring for it over the past weeks. She did however have to go in for surgery due to 4 areas of hemorrhaging. She finally felt somewhat normal for the first time yesterday, after a long year of illness.

What does this all mean to you?

Well The Stringer is back, gearing up for Hairfair 2010. She has many people to get back to, lots of notecards, lots of things she said she would do for you all, and hasn't.

So over the next few weeks she will be getting to all of these things, and start back to getting on a normal track of things.

Limited Edition Mini Hunt-April Week 4

Hey guys!

Yes, as you can see I'm finally bring back an old favorite event here to The Stringer Mausoleum. I personally love Limited Edition stuff, and I love hunting. Over a year and a half ago, I had started to do limited edition mini hunts for new releases, that had limited edition hair textures, or if another type of product, it's have it's own special colours not to be released.

They were hugely fun, and people really enjoyed them. Now due to my failing health, I hadn't managed to do any in a very VERY long time. But had always planned on bring the event back.

Well it's finally here, and if for any reason a new release happens and I can't do the hunt, I'll have some other way for you to get the limited editions.

This week I'm introducing some new limited edition colours. Last week there were a few complaints that 1) I didn't have any normalish colours and 2) there wasn't enough in the hunt, people were picking too much, so others were being left out.

Well I addressed both of these issues this time around. I have more limited edition colour packs, 3 more to be exact, and added some reuglar colours in the mix.

~~~The Basics~~~

For hair I have Currently 6 packs of Limited Edition Colours.

Each single will be priced at no higher then L$25, for every so many out, I'll price one at L$1. If it's a full pack, it'll be price acording to my mood, based on how many textures is in the pack, or how generous I'm feeling. Some will be L$10, some will go up to L$100.

ALWAYS for hair it'll be one of 5, so one of olny 5 EVER sold on the grid. In the items name, at the end you will see a number like this:

This lets you know which Limited edition you managed to get.

Hairs will be Copy/Mod/No Trans.

The little prims you hunt for will show what texture or what pack you have found clearly. They are set to original, so please pick them up after you have found them, and bought them.

AGAIN, PLEASE REMEMBER TO PICK UP YOUR PRIMS, YOU CONFUSE OTHER HUNTERS AND I GET 20 BAGILLION IM'S.

And so on . . . .

As for other items, they will have no set colour range. It'll just be whatever limited colour I make for that thing, also there could be more, say for eyes it could be one of 10, instead of one of 5. Each week I'll let you know what items are in the hunt, and have more info if it's something sort of different. These items could possibly be Transferable.

I set the items out in rounds, over a period of time, as the first round starts to run out, the second round goes out. I let my group know when new rounds are out.

Now due to a misread on my part, my whole darn booth is full of new stuff. Thats right, all new!

I've got 2 unisex hairs, New skins, an outfit, a stringerized smexy shirt and some new eyes!

Now this like most fairs and big events in sl, has a charity, so I thus have charity items! I did 2 packs of Limited Edition stuff, you can only get these at the fair, and then they will poof!

A 4 pack of me new outfit, in Limited Edition Colours just for this event. It's at a super discounted price, you basically get 2 outfits for free. They are transferable too, like all my clothing items. So if there is a colour you don't like, you can share it =) 50% of this item goes to the Charity.

When I first started to play with the idea of my transition skins, I made them in light versions first. They didn't work out that awesome, only 4 of the 8 actually worked to my satisfaction(the other 4 are in the hunt currently at my store, figured you guys could still do "something" with them). So this pack is made up of the 4 that passed my inspection. You get 4 skins, ffor the wonderful price of L$600, which is actually just a little over paying for a single, so it's a super deal. These are Limited Editions, will poof after the fair, and 100% of this pack goes to the Charity!

The Hairs! Oh the hairs!

These unintentionally go sort of with the theme of the event.

I was making this, and for some reason got it in my head to try some braids with it, and liked the results.

This one sort of happened out of the blue, was trying to make a mohawk for someone with a finger in a light socket, but it ended up looking too much like Tonic and Allegory. I already have the hair almost done, and wanted to save it, so I decided to see if I could dread it somehow. This is how my efforts turned out =)

Skins-Transitonal Searies

Shadowthinger
These are the darker cousins to the Sunchaser skins. They are for creatures who lurk in the corners of allies or various similar low light envirionments. They have a string shadowing, to further enhance the fact that they do not live in the light. Not your typical skin you'll find out there. And they make me super happy, like drug enduced happy. I really made them for me, and wasn't going to share, but enough of you bugged me so here they are!

EYES! wouldn't be a swampy event with out some Swamp Thang eyes now would it. These little buggers are part of my creature series. They have an off pupil and very big iris shape, more so then I normally do with my eyes. Again part of my rendering experiments.

I attempted more clothing. This first set is an outfit, you get it on all possible layers, and it is transferable like all my clothing items. And I went colour crazy, as always, can't help it, hehe. There are 12 colours to choose from.

The top is partly seethrough. If you double it up with another layer, it turns into a solid shirt.

This top sort of just happened out of random experimenting. and yes you can see nipples thru it, no they are not included in the design =) you has to get your own nips, leave mine alone!

Oh almost forgot, I did up a set of swampy like demon parts as a gift at the fair!

Helena's 3rd Annual Birthday Bonanza

It's that time of the year again, when I get older. To celebrate this I tend to do some big crazy things at my store. This year is no different, other then the fact that as I started to set up, I got attacked by hunt harpies! those darn things are everywhere now . . .

Hunt Harpie-A creature not of myth in sl. You will see them all over, following unexpected victims, ready to snatch hunt prizes from said victim's grasp. One of the only deterrents is to bash yourself randomly against the wall, to make them think you are slightly noobish, they don't like the noobs.

So here I was, on my own sim, in my own store, when a crowd of hunt harpies swoop in! Now obviously I was not on a hunt, dude it's my own store. But they don't notice names, they just go "oh there is someone, lets follow them around and see if they find the treasure". This has always been an agrivation for me. When finally after 20 minutes they figure out I'm not doing much of anything, they IM me and ask if I was on the hunt, and if the could get hints? Ermmmmm NO!

Then the whining begins, oh how hunt harpies whine!

Well I was slightly famished, so I put on my best smile, then set out for a bit of harpie flesh. Not the tastiest meat, but hey, it's shuts up their traps right?

A few minutes later, after catching the last one, and plucking each feather from it's body, I notice a slight glimmer to the feathers. Picking one up out pops a trinket of sorts? hmmmm what is this?

Seems like the hunt harpies hide their many stolen treasures in amongst their feathers!

So what is a girl to do, I have left feathers from my mad rampage of plucking all over the store and sim.

Aine Mermaid Skins

Aine, a keltic mermaid of the deep. She has more shadows hidden on her body then light, but what light there is makes her features pop. She has surfaced to bring you a gift, a chance to be part of her world.

New hair and another skin sneak peak!

Hey guys!

I got some goodies for you!

But firstly I'm going to get a few other announcements over with.

I finally got my 3DCC event items in the store. There is only one Special Edition dress left. Also I put 3 of the Hair packs down 75% for a limited time.

The Rezzable event is over, so Alien Flora is now home. I also put 3 packs of it down 75% for a limited time.

The Opium Show was fun, I enjoy the first one, which I was in attendance for. I have the 2 new hairs from that in the store now. I had made a New Female Hair called Troian Mystic. Troian is a demon god of cosmos, the hair is sort of horny, and the event theme was spacey, so thats is where the name came from for that piece. The other is a hair you have all been bugging me for since I gave you guys a sneak peak last year, so Loaded is finally out. It's a Unisex Dreaded Mohawk.

So I have things, things in the store, wearable type things, you know, that I like actually made, and put in the store. Did you know I have a store? Have I dropped outta your minds that fast?

So here is a bit of what has been going on, the last 4 months I have been very sick. In the begining was still coming on for bits and pieces, and then I just got worse, it started that I could only handle 30 minutes at a time, which doesn't give you much time for anything in sl. Then the point came where I couldn't even handle any time.

But this new year, I'm back, not better, but better then I was.

So I said pants right?

Here they are, Unisex Latex pants, in 14 wonderful colours to choose from, cause I'm a colour addict. Couldn't you tell from all my hair textures?

Ya the basic staple, just plain old shiney assed latex.

It's newest creation in Hair Fashion!

Taking part in Rezzable's "2010 . The Future is Now" Fashion Event, I, Helena Stringer, have made you something totally unexpected. I normally put alot of thought and time into what I'm going to make for these Rezzable Events, this one is no different. What was different was the fact that what I started out wth on a piece of paper, totally turned into something else once I started to work on it. I really didn't even notice until it was done that it was the total opposite of what I set out to make.

I bring you Alien Flora, mishmashed version of alien like forms and cables, tucked around a dreaded Princess Leia type warp around bun thing. See what I'm taking about? What was I on? Well it might not be cyber demony, but it sure is still "Stringerized".

I've got out for the event only, my Limited Edition Roboshines pack, for a special price. After the event it's gone forever!(the pack, not the hair, haha).

Funny story to this but I'll keep it short. MiaSnow was inspired by my Cosmic Traveller Dresses, and asked if I'd join her and her 3D Creators Flickr Group in a collab project. Now I couldn't just set out the same old same old, so I did a second version of the dresses.

I also made a unisex hair to work with GROLLWERK's Amazing Helmet sets. I made it to work right under the helemt, but still have a bit of a "Stringer" feel. I'm Really Really proud that this hair Looks HOT! on the dudes, I normally feel like I fail at man hair, so I'm happy that it works out well. Guys really rock it with the space helmet from GROLLWERK.

I have made a really wicked Hair for this event, something I really hadn't intended on making and was rather surprised when I looked at the end result. I hope you all come to see it on the runway for the first Fashion Show(where I'll hopefully be sitting and watching too!).

Third Event

A bit less info on this, but at the end of the month, I'll be doing another fashion show with the likes of Violator and Alpha.Tribe, just to name a few. It is sort of futuristic aswell(hmmm a theme maybe?). It's being put on by the wonderful team at Opium Fashion Agency.

I'm not to the point where my eyes are falling out, or my horns are falling off, and I seem to have my whole tail intact still.

The Stringer just got back from a space expidition, slaying space spiders on mars. She busted open her favorite after battle treat, Twizzlers, but sadly dropped the bag on the Aurora Isle sim on her way down from her Mothership.They rained down from the sky all over the sim. Now these aren't just any plain old Twizzlers, they are space demon Twizzlers, and hold a special gift in each. Why do you think The Stringer likes eating them?

What is new to the 2009 Colour Launch?

Womens:

*NEW* Hoodoo

This hair was a request by Isabeau Reinard, to go with an Witch Doctors outfit, also being released today, by Reasonable Desires. It is not the outfit in my ad. Anyways she came to me wanting something sort of witch doctory, and I sort of got this New Orleans highclass lady in my head, who weaves "Majik' you could not believe. Bones are a special part of their process, and this dear Hoodoo lady chooses birds as her medium.

*NEW-ish* Sacrifice

This was part of a hair released for hairfair 2008. The original, Yearly Sacrifice, was a limited edition hair, with a whole sacrificial headpiece. I've gotten many requests for this hair, over the year, and when new texture wer starting to roll in for this september, I was getting a few people asking if they could grab this hair in them. So I poled *most* of the buyers of the original, and they were not only willing, but wanting it in new colours aswell. To keep the other original, I did some fixes, changed how the texture sat on the hair(the old version had a more tribal feel) and knocked off the headpiece. I also gave it the shorter name.

Finally released after a teaser at Hairfair 2009 for Charity(there was a mini pack for L$1 and all proceeds went to charity), and a ffew requests, this hair is finally out. It's one I made just for me for the hey of it. It is odd for sure, I went to a party dressed up as alfalfa in it(giggle). Fully Sculpted, this will get you a few looks for sure. *NEW* Ruina V2

You can never have enough of Ruina, weither it be her eyes, her horns or hair inspired by her vision. When we hashed out the original idea for her hair, she drew me a picture, and I went with it, well Ruina #2 was sort of my take on it, and I figured leather is always a good thing, so these ties are all nicely worn in. As we really haven't taken the hair off till we loaded it in that vendor for you.

And yes guys, it is unisex, don't let the name throw you off.

*NEW* Tonic

This hair was a beta for Allegory actually. I felt that hair needed more "POW" and so I changed it up. I've had Tonic in my inventory, randomly giving out onesies every once in a while. As I was sorting hair, I looked at it, adn tweeked it, and said hey, no reason why this can't go out. It's the more mild, realistic version of Allegory. Shorter and more "Rounded".

*NEW-ish* Insanity

This hair wasn't out for very long the first time around. I released it, then moved to the sim, and found out I wasn't happy with the texture stretching. So I took it off the wall. It was up for redo, but I just never got to it. So when it came time for new textures, I could not resist.

Something Smells Fishy at The

Hey there!

I've enjoyed fishing for a long time now, my sister bought me a rod, in 2008 as a gift for surviving my first hairfair. We would go out and get silly fish and have them all over on ourself, it was great fun!

I was asked to make some fish for the Magic of Oz sim, and man did I have fun. Well a little while later I had lost to the sl gods all my fish, all my own customs I made, unreleased stuff I had for the sim opening, the whole bit. I was a bit discouraged. And stepped back from fishing.

Well I really really wanted fishing n the im.

Here are the plans, there will be 3 spots:

The Docks-Near Sim Landing Point

This will be where all custom fish will be caught. You'll find Fish made by Cherelle Capra and Helena Stringer here, as well as any other vendors that wish to create fishies for the sim. We have not to this date made any fishies for here, but are working on it.

The Pond-Up on the Mountain

This will be a spot mostly for The Stringer Mausoleum Products, as well as any other crazies that choose to set some customs out here. No custom Fish, but rotating actual product. There will be hair made specifically for this area, there will also be offered for a limited time, evey hair released, in a special "Seas" colour pack. After they are out of the server, they will be gone! so the only way to get the seas colours is to fish them out! I have Unisex, Mens and Womens hair allin there currently. I have eyes, wearables, female skins, and other random things in the works. These items are not tradable, as the hairs are no trans, and well most of my products are. There will be blueprinted items in the future, which I will make tradable(the parts and blueprint, not the end item). These store products are not going to e as easy to catch as the regular fish, there is this "Chance" thingy they have the servers set at. me and a friend did manage to get a few hairs within the test time, so it's not impossible. I do have some of the hairs set to comon, so even players fishing without bait can get some.

Now do you want to see the colours you can fish up? there are wearable testers near the pond, by the servers.

Cosmic Traveller Dresses

My very first dress! There are many things that inspire my creations here in sl. I honestly don't totally know how this evolved. I was playing with textures for a project, trying to finish up shirts, and playing with shapes inworld, and this dress sort of popped out of all that soup.

I have a love of colours, so I transfered that into my spacey design.

There are 8 Dress colours in total. 6 you will find ready to buy in the store. Another will be in the Riot Vendor at the store until the next dress release, set to go as low as L$75. The Riot Vendor version is not transferable. The last is a Limited Edition Colour, only to be purchused on XStreet. Only 40 of them will be for sale, it'll let you see how many are left above the price. They are the same price as the instore dresses, just limited, and still transferable. The Megapack is 25% off and also has the matching hairs included, the ones shown in the ad. The dresses are transferable, the hair is not. For those nerds that want to know, here is the info of the Dress names. I always wonder why designers name things what they do, so here is what I named my dresses after. I wanted spacey terms, but also wanted to match up the colours to the different space features.

Space Terms

Analemma -- It sounds like it could be a name for a little girl. In reality, it is the figure-eight shape that the Sun traces in the sky if it were to be photographed at the same time every day for a year

Bolide -- Large, brilliant meteors that enter the Earth’s atmosphere. Friction between a fast-moving meteor and Earth’s air molecules generates tremendous heat, which causes the meteor to heat up, glow, and perhaps disintegrate. In some cases, the meteor literally explodes, leaving a visible cloud that dissipates slowly.

Catena -- Another word that sounds like a little girl's name. But it is a chain of craters on a planet or satellite.

Faculae -- Bright patches seen on the sun or planetary satellies. This term is usually connected to solar phenomena, however. Faculae occur in the photosphere and are hotter than the surrounding area. They precede sunspots that form in the same area and linger several weeks after the disappearance of the sunspot.

Lithosphere -- The solid part of a planet’s surface, composed of the crust and upper mantle. On Earth, it includes the continents and the sea floor.

Nova -- A binary star system (consisting of a white dwarf and a companion star) that rapidly brightens, then slowly fades back to normal.

Prominence -- An eruption of gas from the chromosphere of a star. Solar prominences are visible as part of the corona during a total solar eclipse. These eruptions occur above the Sun’s surface (photosphere), where gases are suspended in a loop, apparently by magnetic forces that arch upward into the solar corona and then return to the surface.

My new textures are a mix of my past 3 sets, taking the best parts, and mushing them all together. More depth, more shine, all around lovely textures. I also changed the tip length, so the tips will have more pow now.

These are my new "Natural" packs, more variety for you "normal" folks. I know I've been lacking in normal colours for you less adveturous, so hopefully this fills that void.

I have been lucky enough to be in 4 of these shows now. Rezzable has always been welcome to all sorts of ideas with these shows, and it almost has become a sort of family, with many of us coming back show per show. There is always a theme, and oh how I love them.

The Elements are something that are so easily worked with. We all have an element of our own, mine being Fire. It wasn't hard for me to be inspired and make some awesome hair for you guys.

Manes of Glory

This unisex hair sort of started as a tribute to the sun and to the firey mane of a lion. I sound found out that it worked well with all elements. Each hair can be bought seperately, and included is an elemental Laurel, bringing an added elemental Feel. You can also buy the Megapack, which has all 4 hairs included. There is something else very special about this hair, it is a preview of my new hair texture line coming out in september. These 4 textures will not be part of my actual line being launched, they are special to this event, and will only be sold for this event. So in a sense they are both special edition hairs and limited edition hairs. Inculded with each hair is a voucher for one colourpack of the Manes of Glory, for when they come out in the new colourline. So you'll get a whole pack for free with purchuse basically, you just have to come back when they are up in the store. The voucher will only be good for the Manes of Glory hair, and only till the end of 2009.

All parts are Copy/Mod/No Trans

Also at the event I made a set of eyes to match the elements. These are my gift to you. And if you want to try a wearable hair with the new textures, get the demo, not only does it have the actual Manes of Glory Demos, but you get a female and unisex tester of each texture, to have a nice little added preview.

Wow a Shrine hair! I'm going to finally be reopening the shrine line soon, so I thought what better way to promote it, then do a themed hair for hairfair! Funny story about this hair. I asked Sasy Scarborough about the theme for hairfair this year, a few days before it was going to be announced. She didn't want to tell me so what does she say? Think "What is a Skittle? and it has to do with earth". WTF right. Well I was thinking of lawn bowling cause it's played on the ground, and the thingies are called skittles, that you have to hit. I finally got it out of her, she never knew there was a game with things called skittles. So I thought why not do a skittle hair, it begged to be cutsie too. So it has sweeping sculpted bangs and some cute flexi in the back.

50% of all proceeds go to Locks of Love for this hair.

He always believes in me, and I almost always feel put out if I think I'm going to disappoint him. So he is my little believer. This hair wasn't made for you you little buger, but you inspired me to set it out at the fair, so I hope you can do something with it!

Had to make a hawk, like duh! This one was sort of inspired by the Rock band Guns and Roses. Or I should say their album art. Or maybe just rock. Anyways there are thorns and skulls and roses, what more can you ask for?

I wanted to make a really crazy show stopper for Hairfair, something people could just look at and go wow. I didn't really get it right, but still popped out soemthing very cool in the process. Hydras are mythical beasties, a 2,3,5,7,9 or 12 headed critter, depending on the myth. Most often serpent-like or dragon-like in appearance. It, as you can see here, makes a very cool heapiece.

This one was sort of inspired by Ruina, a good friend on mine. She wanted Dreads that were uber long. I went off and stuck shit in them tho, as I happen to do from time to time.

We all know HairFair has awesome freebies, and this year is no different. We could do a few things differently this year, so they let us have not one, but 3 freebie boxes out.

Pincushion

This is a offer I have for L$1. It's a hair of a new sort of direction. I'm doing a line that is inspired by rl objects, and turn those common things into couture hair pieces. Big and bold will be all throught this collection.

I have for free a set of texture testers, called Fluffer. It's a wearable mohawk, basically just to let you see what colours you may like. So there is 120ish textures in the pack! Go Wild.

I have one other gift, which all proceeds will go to Locks of Love. This gift WILL be set to L$1, but all of it is for charity. You'll just have to come and see it!

Now for my final show and tell . . .

With all the past Hairfairs there has been a special silent Auction, with unique hairs made by all of use desigers together. This year they went a different route, tho not as fun, I did really enjoy watching the hairs grow . . . 20 designers making one hair? it was fun to say the least. Anyways this year they are doing a One-of-a-Kind Auction. These hairs are donated by the designers and can be anything from a style they made for hairfair, but modded in a special way, special colours, whathaveyou, or a totally unique hairs. This next pic is my style donated to the auction.

One-of-a-Kind Auction ~ Satin Fantail Mohawk

This is a Unisex style, with 12 colours. You get your normal Black, my special personal collection of shine hairs, which there are 5 and then my limited edition textures "Colour Bleeds" which fade from one set colour to the next in a darkened tone.

This style wasn't really started with an idea in my head per say. Originally my thoughts were of a lizard frill, and my Sister thought it turned out more Fishy. The style totally evolved into something I'm actually sad to see as only a One-of-a-Kind hair, which means I did something right!

HairFair 2008 Items on Sale!

I've decided as a pre HairFair 2009, that i would set all my HairFair 2008 hairs on sale for 1/2 off. You'll only find these savings at the new Mainstore, on Aurora Vale. Allegory is up on the Unisex wall, I made it super beam, so you'll see it, it's freaking NEON!

I haven't updated the rest of the hairs to the new vendor ads, so they are all in the back "Specialty" Room. I set the backers to white, so they stand out.

Now Yearly Sacrifice was a Limited Edition, due to the themed Headpiece. I've gotten a lot of requests for it recently, seeing as for some reason I've chosen to wear it a lot. *Shrugs Shoulders*

I'm going to take a vote from you guys. Would you like to see this style back, simply called Sacrifice, without the headpiece? For those of you who bought it, do you think this is fair? since it wasn't the hair, but the Headpiece that was the real special edition part?

My clothing line, OMFG clothing. Yes I'm trying a hand at it. First up is in my line of clothing is this shirt for the men. I'm very excited to be doing clothing, I've been putting it off for so long due to my suckage at the airbrushing. The skins have helped me out with that, as well as a few other tools, so yay!

June 20th marks the start of HairFair 2009. People have been gearing up all around. Designers have been off making lovelies for you to enjoy.

Well the HairFair 2009 Flickr has been opened, and I'd love to see you all in it sporting my hair as one of your top ten! I really enjoyed finding the few last year, when I was a nobody, so it would delight me if you could clutter the feeds with my awesomeness! Hehe kidding, just takes some great pics, you know how I love them so!

I thought I'd help a friend out with a little contest!

What does this mean for you? Why free hairs of course!

Ruina Kessel has been a great fan to start off with. She was always so enthused by my creations. Well then she became my model for the store (one of a few that have stayed on). She has put as much effort into being there for me as my own sister, and that says alot (if you know me and my sissy poo, we are super close, unlike most siblings). She makes wonderful photo art with my items, and in turn she one day surprised me. She opened (or re-opened I should say) a shop. What did she have there? EYES! Alas the poor girl did not know that I am an eye WHORE! So I bought a few up. Well, she continued to release wonderful creations, and I have also been lucky enough to get exclusives, eyes made just for me as gifts, and even one named for me! I do still buy a few every week, you sort of have to keep going to the store to keep up! Her creations have also rekindled my demon spirit, so now I'm letting it out way more. I say fuck it, even when I'm all gussied up, I just throw one a pair of ][][][House of Ruin][][][ eyes, and people just stare in awe. Or run, after seeing the gleam in my eyes, and the quick lick of the lips. MMMMM Dinner.

In Ruina's Flickr group she made a sort of plea to her fans there to put some art in the group, so she could have an art flipper in the store. This is cool shit yo! The only issue is there are only 6 of us in the group! So I make a plee to you my friends/fans, to help us out!

I have a picture changer up in the store for the sole purpose of showing off people wearing my creations. And, while I suffer from the standard forms of SL vanity, I'd really like it if the images weren't all of just me :P ... So I am asking you, would you like to help?

First of all, what will happen to the pictures I choose to use:

I will crop them down, touch them up, and format them so that they fit in the changer and look as best as they can. I have a template that includes writing which the picture will be plugged into. I will also post the final formatted image in my flickr (with credits, of course!) and possibly my shop blog (once it's up and running). If you will not allow me to do these things, do not submit your image.

Secondly, the criteria your picture needs to meet for me to choose it:

1. You MUST be wearing a House of Ruin item (duh!). If you aren't sure if it qualifies, you can look at the item name - it should have a tag at the beginning of it like these:

2. The absolute minimum size that your image can be is 800 x 600. Larger is much preferred, and size may play a big role in whether I choose to use your image. This is because I will likely need to crop the image down, and it's much easier if I have room to work with.

3. The image MUST clearly show the House of Ruin item(s) you are wearing (for example, for eyes, the image really needs to be a head shot).

4. Please please please credit the other items you are wearing and the photographer if it wasn't you. I will also need your full SL name, so be sure it is somewhere if it isn't your Flickr name. I use this information in my template.

Thirdly, other things you need to know:

- The House of Ruin item(s) used in the image CAN be a freebie or a hunt item or a group gift.

- The image can be in any format that I can open, but keep in mind, I will only pick images that are clean and clear. So, low quality jpegs are probably not a good idea.

- I reserve the right to not use an image, and to stop using an image that I have used before, without a stated reason.

- I also reserve the right to use images that were not submitted to the group or this project, but that I have been granted permission to use.

- You can submit images to me via Flickr, via notecard in SL (just drop it on my profile: Ruina Kessel), and via email (ruina.kessel@gmail.com)

Back Story for those who don't know . . .

I was contacted by Logan Skytower a few months back, to help him with his concept he was doing on a new avatar for Second Life. I instantly fell in love with the little guy, even tho he was just in a blank state.

What was my part to play?

I was asked to play around and make some custom skins for the little critter.

So now that I have a new love in sl, my very own little [BUBU], I wish to share them with you!
I don't sell the actual avatar, that is all Logan's, what you can get from me is skins! so basically you want different looks, you need different skins. Just like with a normal humanoid avi.

What do you have to do?

-Go to Logan's store
-Buy a [Bubu], they cost L$250

I really do like the idea of these. I find them adorable too. So I'm going to be doing more content. The idea so far, since my first went so well, is once I have the design made, I'll hold a contest for more colours. Each [BUBU] will have 6 colours. Mine, one a friend picks(cause they be special) and 4 that are from the contest colours I pick out. I'll do a 2 special colour of each, one for Midnight Madness, one for a [BUBU] Lucky Chair or for my soon-to-be-built 7Seas fishing spot! These plans will come into effect in June sometime. I'm going to do at least one [BUBU] a month. More if time permits.

Bubu-a project I've been working on

I want to start to show you guys some of the stuff I have on the go. Now this one is almost all done, but I still thought I would share.

Bubu is a project started by Logan Skytower. He explained that it was inspired by the concept of the Munny dolls. Achariya Maktoum apparently contacted Logan to contact me, and that's how I got on this project. Sl has been crap, so it took me a bit longer to start this then I wanted.

The Basic concept of the Project:

You go to the BUBU mainstore, get your Babu kit, so far the price is said to be set at L$250.

Inside you get a bunch of stuff.

-Bubu Avi(comes in preset Blank Babu Skin)
-Bubu AO
-Bubu Pose Stand
-3 skin Sparycans-Blank Bubu, Guidelines Bubu and Free Angry Monkey Skin
-Bubu Doll

The basic concept of this little dude is simply to have fun and customize him however you want. It can be anything. All the tools needed to make your own skins are there for you to go off and get started. The Bubu mainstore will have skins you can by, the price so far has been set to about L$100 for each skin. so you can by them, or make your own. Logan has no issues to you selling your skins, just make sure people know they need to get the avi from his store. You can't sell that, as it's no trans.

How do you change your skin? It's really cool actually, your skins come in spraycans. You set it out inworld, click it, and get sprayed! Your skin changes in the process, so you can change him however many times you like.

Logan gave a few of us designers the kit to sort of test, and to help launch the project. I'm okay at making textures, but not too hot at the airbrushing, so I opted to make my dude had attachments. He is my little swamp critter!

This was my work in progress shot this morning, I have since completed him(just not the spraycan).

So here you can see I fixed his eyes, they are more black now, I used black on the other one, but who knows what happened!

The tentative launch for Bubu is May 16th, so coming up this saturday! I posted on Plurk what other sorts of colours I should do.

So far the list is Orange, Red and Purple, as well as my store colour, the Swampy Green.

What I propose here, is a sort of little contest.

List the colours you would like to see him in. Name the colours something to do with a swamp like creature.

And here is is! A unisex hair. You get to see my new ad style. I'm updating cause well I've had the old ones for a bit, and I like to change things up.

In the Rain was simply inspired by just that, the rain. I was thinking about what a mohawk would look like in the rain, after all the glue started to bleed out.

I feel it turned out beyond what I originally planned for this hair. To me it seems like a hair everyone can were, it's not as extreme and I can picture all sorts of avi's in it.

As always 75% off the hair packs depicted in the ad for the first 24hours. Since now there are only 2 avi's in the ads, I'll randomly select one other pack, to keep it at 3.

Release Mini Hunt

With my new releases, I put out special packs hidden in the store. There are only ever 5 of each pack. Some are single colours, some are full packs. These are all textures that have been made for some reason, but aren't sold with my regular packs. The singles this week are L$25 and the full packs(6-8 hair textures) are L$75. They are original, so please pick up after you grab them.

I updated a oldie that was out only for a month or so way back in may last year. She is only L$1 per colour, and right now in the group there is a 5 colour pack!

I decided to put out some of my funky recolours I make for my personal use, in some lucky boards. These I randomly do up, and never sell. So they are not only special editions, but also limited editions, cause they will only be in the board, till I put something else in there.

There have been strange going ons in sl the last few weeks.

There are reports coming from all corners of sl. There is a war going on. A war being waged by by people against a minority here in sl. This minority is the Unicorns. You always here about nekos, vampires, furries. But not the poor little unicorns. They just wanted a home to call their own. It just so happens they want it called "Sparkle Village" and are converting the series of sims into unicorn sex islands.

So what does that have to do with us? The Devotees of The Stringer.

Well here is our tale . . .

The Followers of Stringer are a devote group, secluded in a world so grand, that they have reverted to their base instincts, and have become more savage. The only thing they brought with them was their deities. Little did the people know that The Stringer was indeed all of them(That is another tale for another day). One of the said deities was a Unicorn.

So when the call came out for supporters, the tribe could do nothing but come out of seclusion, don their mohawks and protect all that is glittery.

We even watched their backs as they . . . well you see the picture.

Ready for action, any action, they were surprised to see people just milling about with signs. This is the way war is waged now? Signs?

At least these guys got it right.

The Unicorns are out in good numbers. You'll see them out and about the sims. No prizes for spotting them tho.

Even the other creatures on the sim have adopted the way of the unicorn, sporting horns as support.

I've been making eyes this week, partly due to my phoneline being out. Obviously it's back up, and I managed to upload a set!

By popular request, I present Volant in some more shades. Didn't think the twisted hunt tiem would be loved that much, but it has been getting some play. I decided to do something different with it. You can either buy Copy only or Trans only Versions. The Trans 0nes are a wee bit more(due to there being almost 2 whole sets in there because of all the different attachements). So it becomes your choice, you can buy them copy only at a discount or Trans only and be able to pass them on.

There is a wearable demo, it was the beta I played with before texturing. If you like Plain black shiney things then this is for you! hehe.

I also wanted a colour to match my one skin I have, so I turned that special one into a deal of the week. Only L$45, what a catch.

Twisted hunt for a Twisted Stringer!

The organizers of this hunt claimed there were too many for the cute and cuddly. Time we did some grid wide massacre. I was all up for that shit!

I always like to try different stuff, and I feel you get good feedback from hunts, when people quit whining.

OMG it's a hunt, I actually have to hunt for stuff? They aren't going to have arrows?

Nuff said.

So this is what I did up. It's a demon set, so horns and tail. Plus I threw in a hair to match, that works well with the horns. The horns and tail come in all sorts of attachment points, so you don't have to fight with your other spots. I also have 2 versions of each item. The mohawk is a special texture to match, that you can't buy. I also made a shiny version, that matches the horns even more. With the demon parts you can choose from just plain or a embellished version. It has piercings and skulls.

I'm #70. I don't make these thing obvious, if they say I can really hide it. Since this is a twisted hunt, they were all for my wicked ways, so good luck. I move it at least very day, since we were told to, but sometimes a few more times then that. So don't be counting on cheatsheets you nancy boys!

This hair was a challenge from a customer. All the challenge stipulated was that I use the same prim, over and over. So basically once I picked my shape, size and cuts, I had to stick with it. I was super impressed by how it turned out.

Pencil-Unisex

I wanted an uber slim hawk. I just thought it would be nifty to have fine strands waving about. Once started, it almost formed a wave. I chose Pencil for the name, cause well, it's as thin as a pencil!

Did you know that today is my favorite day of the week?

It always has been.

So I've decided that Wednesdays will be my new release day from now on. If I don't make it the one week, everything will come out the next. I'll try to always have some sort of something, I really need to get back in the grove.

Anyways, a few reminders of what I do on my release days, for you new people, and a few new things I'm going to try.

75% off packs-I've always had for the first 24 hours of a new release, all colours shown in my ad, for 75% off. Eg. I am wearing blonde, blue and pink in the ad, so those whole packs will be 75% off.

New Ideas:

I have had some great models, some have stayed, some have left, for the most part it's been good, and a learning experience as a whole. As the store grows, and clients/customers/fans need more info, I need more help.

So I shout out to you all, I need your little booties in my store looking your best! Been wanting an sl job? well it'll be an intresting one, I swear, well most days at least, hehe!

So you want me as a boss? or are thinking of it.

Well just fill out the answers to the questions below, put it in a notecard, title it with:

Okay on to the "rules" per say.

I am going to take on a few new residents, but not too many. If you are over 30 days, I'll help you become more presentable, so that you can be up to par, and be in the store.

I'm looking for people with a more crazy style, to go with the majority of my stuff! I will need a few Shrine models, so the girly girly will go there. I do need some male models as well!

So back to crazy style, they include:

punk, goth, cyberpunk, steampunk(the dirtier version), grunge, ravers, demons, fantasy, fairy, s&m, and the list goes on. You have seen what I make, hopefully, if you are applying, so you know what I go for. If you have a great personality, and don't mind being my doll, I can help you out, with bringing together a wardrobe. I sadly don't make clothing :( or I would cloth you too!

I am looking for people who are serious about wanting a job, not just wanting free stuff. I need people that can take orders, and will be responsible enough to contact me.

I need 2 group slots out of your 25, since you must be in both the model group to recieve your release items, and the normal group, just to keep track of news, so you can help customers.

I'm looking for models for the store, not ads. I don't deal with ad models, cause for me it's too much time out of my day. When I need to do ads, I need to do them quickly. So sorry about that, but if thats what you thought this was for, just move on, I can't take you.

It's also live store models to be exact. I need you online for lets say 2/3rds of your shifts. I don't mind afk modeling, if you want to leave your girl on while you sleep. But I do need you online for some part of the shifts. eg. 5 hour shift, you would need to be online for at least 1.5 hours. More details on this is accepted.

Also there is a sort of pay system, here is how it goes:

Month 1-3-probation period
-much like real life, I'll be watching, talking, getting to know you, see your work ethic and a feel for what you want out of this job. You'll be paid in product. more on that system after your application is acepted.

Month 4 and on-long term model
-after you have shown you really want this, and have fallen in love with the job, you'l start to get paid in lindens. There is a punch in type system, and you get paid while in a certain range of it. Mean you can walk around, help customers, whathaveyou.

There are other ways to do work for the store aswell, after being with us for a bit, we'll see where your talents lie, and try to incorperate those in with what we got going on. I'll help with any learning needed.

Okay so basically if you have never heard of 7seas, it's a sl game where people fish for prizes. There is mostly fish, but you can get other things, like boats and clothing. 7seas has allowed people that host fishing spots to make special fish to give out for gifts too. I have been asked to make some special fishies for a certain fishing hole. Now this has been fun, cause I've been making the fish I want. But I thought it would be cool to make the dream fish for someone else. I've also been working on some crazy fishing gear to win too, like poles, hats and other odd bits. So here is what I want you to do. Simply make a notecard inworld, name this card: Stringer Fishy Idea - Your Name Here, with your name in the "Your Name Here" spot. Then fill in the rest below. Fighting Fire with FIRE!

You may have already started to see all the notices popping up about whats happening in australia. You may know people in sl that live there, or have heard about the tragedy on the news. I myself know more then a few people that live there, and even know one fellow designer, he grew up in one of the towns that is now wiped off the map. To think you could never go back, relive your first kiss, your first bike related booboo down in the park, your first messy icecream cone . . .

Also there are lives that have been snuffed out, and many others that have nothing. A boy clings to a photo, all he has left. A mother cries for the loss of a husband. A elderly lady cries for the loss of her friend, a cat named Fuggles.

It has always amazed me what we seem to be able to do here in sl, cause here there is no countries, no waters seperating our many nations. We rise up to help our friends, if they be furry, alien, demon, doll . . .

I'm also donating 5% of my daily earnings in sl to Victoria Farshore at the start of each new day. I was contacted yesterday so that started as of then. So even if you buy a regular item, you are still helping in some way.

And as of right now, Hairspray, the all hair sim that I just recently got a store on, is donating this weeks rental fee to the charity as well, so I just paid! Thats another L$500 down!

The project was created to introduce the SL public to creative fashions, architecture and artifact designs inspired by ancient egypt and all walks of life ranging peasants to pharaohs and give some insight as to their culture. It's a place to discover and explore while taking in all the beautiful sights and designs made for everyone to view with many for purchase. The event will last one month, starting Feb 6th, 2009, and there will be two public fashion shows and various events in the days during.

I always love doing these Rezzable things! The first one I had the luck to be in was the "Inspired by Crimson Shadow" Event. Then they asked me back for "Winter Magic" the third event based on the original "Inspired by Black Swan". I was pleasantly surprised when asked to be a part of a special sim opening event "Inspired by Ancient Egypt ".

If you know anything about me as a designer, or even just as a girl who likes to go to events, you'll know I LOVE themed things. These Rezzable events always have a certain theme, something to set that spark of imagination, for designer and event hopper alike. It wasn't hard this time. Who doesn't know a little something about the history of Egypt. In Canada, it's mandatory in our education system to learn about certain aspects of the history of egypt. In highschool there is a whole course on Egypt in 4th year as a History Credit. So I have always been exposed to it.

It was nice when I first got the notecard of the event, that is said we could mix both past and present times in one. What could be better then letting your imagination fly?

So here are my contributions, each with it's own magic, myths and mystery. Enjoy and let a little History invade your hearts!

Kamenwati in egyptian means "Rebel Warrior". The vision of this hair was for a Warrior or special guard of sorts, but one not to be messed with. The hair may be done in dreads, but it isn't anything you would see on the history channel. Comes with a royal scarabs tattooed version.

Khepri in egyptian means "Scarab Beetle". Also known as one of the major gods, it eventually turned into a common womens name among the royal of birth name in the 5th dynasty. So scarabs she has in her hair, as well as the sense of royal stature. Royal Scarabs Attachment(Sold Separately) made to go with the hair by Cherelle Capra of C&D Designs. There is also Scarab cuffs to match, thus completing your look.

I also started making dual tone hairs as special giveaways back with the first Rezzable event I did. These became popular to those lucky enough to get them. With this event I decided to make an event only dual colour set of Khepri, for everyone to enjoy for a limited time. Royal Scarabs made to go with Khepri. There are 7 different beetles. They come in two attachment types, one which has 2 scarabs on the front and back of the hairfan, one which has three with the extra scarab on the side of the hair. Each type of attachment comes with 3 attachment points: Chin, Mouth and Nose. You can buy separate colours or get them in a Megapack.

Cherelle also made Armlets to match the Scarabs she did for my hair. She has them as an event gift, so if you want them, you better nab them while you can!

All furniture in above pictures are Cherelle Capra's contribution to the event. The stuff she made for me was a bonus, hehe. The wings are one of my gifts, I called the Sphinx wings. Not traditional sphinx wings, but I can only contort fractals so much, like come on! My skins I'm wearing for my female avi are the Wasabi Pills skins, they are to die for.

Well you know me, can't resist a good hunt! So this is the first of a few this month, that I am in. To learn more about the hunt, like who is in it, where to start, check out the link HERE! I am number 8 in the hunt, but at the big poster in the store near my stripper poles(yes me has stripper poles!), you'll find the starter kiss, which will send you to the start. So for this hunt I wanted a male and female item. I didn't really want to do the whole "holiday" thing, but somehow my vision got changed around a bit.

For the mens, I would not say this is exactly classic Valentines. I actually made this back in October, but never set it out for anything. I was trying to figure out what to do for the guys that didn't have hearts and shit all over, and remembered about this gem.

I'm not a skin maker by any means, I just do random stuff. So this isn't perfect, but still looks cool dressed all up. Hope you guys at least enjoy the effort.

I was planning on bringing home my "Winter Magic" items soon, and remembered a request a customer wanted. She loved the hair, but thought it would be nice to have a version with a bun. Now I have been planning on making a set of the hairbows from the original, to fit with every month, since the original has snowflakes on it. So I started with torturing the hair, and brainstorming the different themes for each month. Well it didn't take long to figure out that people would want hearts for February. The original hair doodad could not really fit on the bun, so I just made something sort of new, and added the same bows with new textures.

The original hair was called "Wrapped" so the bun version I had the fancy idea of naming "Unwrapped". I know, I'm the cheese!

For someone not so hot on the holiday(I really just don't like pink!) I do love this hair. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I have over the last few days.

Guess who was the first to receive it? Nicky Ree! So have heart you might be wearing the same shit as she.

Kick me in the Butt Contest

Of sorts!

This isn't really a contest but more of a way for you to help me, but get free stuff in the process.

As I just said, I really want this blog to work, and to be happy with it. I need to keep it current, and really have a go at it. It just came to me that you guys can help.

Here's how this thing will go:

1) If you see a release, then come on the blog, and there is no New Release post, you send me a notecard to say " Hey Lady, get your fat ass in gear!" For your troubles you get a Free Hairpack of your choice, whatever style, whatever colour.

2) Once I log in or accept that notecard, I get 24 hours to do up a post. The only exception to this is weekends, I work in rl Sat. and Sun. so on those days It'll be by monday night if you don't see it. If by the end of the 24 hours(or monday night slt time, we'll say before midnight) I still don't have a post up, you get another Free Hairpack of your choice, whatever style, whatever colour.

This may seem silly, but after I have given out so much hair, maybe I'll get the idea that I need to get my ass in gear!

In a sense it's you helping me help you. And there is hair! But not in odd places, unless you want that, but thats a whole other post, hehe.

It Begins Again!

I decided to create a new store blog.

Again.

Simply put, I wa not happy with what was going on with the other one. I'm going to try a few different things here. My stories behind why I made products were always welcomed, but other then that, it was not personal enough for me. Didn't show who I am in relation to my products, and was very bland. Just sitting there really there. This made me not really want to take care of it.

After starting up the "Suddenly Seeking Stringer" blog with the models and a few friends, it really be came clear to me that I needed to take some of that to the store blog. I want it to be a place where people go, not just to view new releases, but also to enjoy a little story, a little fun, a little Helena style!

So hopefully this ends up working out the way I want it to.
