Shop Free*Style

Free*Style has always been a love for me. I joined the group in it's early creation, posting things that I found on the grid(in the beginning it was just a bunch of us out finding things), later I posted as a designer, until finally I joined the blogging team(as a guest designer blogger) in March of 2009. Yes, it will be 4 years as a Free*Styler in a few days. I have always blogged something a bit different, often doing themes, event coverage, or lists of places to find specific things.

While I may not always be posting(that is why the whole guest thing), Free*Style is always a part of my SL. It is with great honor that my sister and I were able to help with the next phase of it's life, helping to bring Shop Free*Style to fruition.

Now that the shop is live(as in open to public),I invite you all to come and see what the collective efforts of designers from all over the grid have brought forth for you to enjoy!

The Stringer Mausoleum is rises for Easter

It's been a while.

Some crazy lady dragged me inworld to make some crazy hair(you can all thank Treebee Withnail), so here I am!

Been spending a bit of time learning all this new shit, mesh layers, tattoo layers(ya, I still hadn't updated to V2 when I left, still had 1.23), petite avatars and many more things.

I have been making things, and am planning on updating the store bit by bit.

I do have some things for you to look at, so here we go . . . .

Crazy Hair Hunt 3 has started, and as per usual, I am late letting you know. There is a good reason tho! I changed my ads a bit, felt the other ones were a bit outdated. I might tweek them a bit, don't know yet.

The theme this round was Flora and Fauna. I made a really big, well not big, MASSIVE, hair with tentacle like vines and a big ass flower. Also due to my sister teaching me about Petite avatars, and gifting me one, I made the hair Petite sized as well.



The Hunt item is a sculpted circular celtic type thing. IDK???? Anyways, I was so not my normal mean self with hiding it, so it shouldn't take you long to find. Enjoy that while you can.

I have been gone so long, that I wanted to do up some gifts for my loyal fans who have stayed in the group.

I have one big pack going in the group notices, it will have some hairs from recent ads and blogging, a few petite sized too! There are 2 Beta hairs I made in the last few days, that I had no clue what I'm doing with yet, so you can at least see what I've done so far.

I have also made a new instore gift, that is free for everyone on the grid. I have always wantedto do facial hair, so that was something on my list for when I came back. I made this one for the heck of it. It is for men, but as you can see I decked out my avi fem style and wore it anyways!

I LUUUUUUUUUUUBS bunnahs! might not be big on the whole easter thang, but I don't mind the lil buggers shagging all over my lawn.

So I did a few eastery type things for you. Spunk Bunnah Sets are for both biggies and Petites(Sold Seperately). They have a 12 colour change hud upon click. Only L$25!




I have always enjoyed doing Special Edition recolours and tweeking. I did an easter one up of "Death of a Goddess" for the group, and decided to do one for everyone else to grab. it is L$25 aswell.



The Group Version, which is a nice deep red and deep carrot colour, will be going out in group notices sometime sunday SLT.

I have been loving my new lil Petite avi, so naturally I have been playing to see which hairs will size down and adapt well enough.

Orly has always been a fav Vampy hair of mine. I will be doing it in all the colours, but for the time being I have the Limited Edition Dark Shines Pack in a Gacha.

It is L$25, the hairs are no trans, but if you want the whole set you can try your luck a few times by getting out of the gacha, or you can buy it in the vendor sign near the Machine.
 
I debated long and hard on putting them Tranferable(as most Gacha type stuff is) or leaving them Copy/Mod. I asked a few people, and one suggested to have the full pack set to sale, for those that want the whole set. Otherwise, if you just want one fun hair, you can just try your luck!

So here it all is:


Sculpted vest. Comes in 2 accent colour versions, red and blue. Has a seperate attachment with 250 gems shapes into a Union Jack Flag. Copy/Mod so you can move things and shape as needed.


Crazy, punky pompom hair. Included is the standard Black, White, Blue and Red, also a White/Red/Blue vesion special for the event, plus two Blacks with differnet coloured bangs, one with blue, one with red.


Something fun I made. My sis says it's very Canadian, duct tape and all! Unisex, and moddable.


Fun mini mohawk to match the above vest accents.


GATCHA TIME!

I decided to use a pant I made a while back, but never released for this event. I left some of them plain, and then did some in plaid, cause who doesn't need more plaid? There are 14 versions and the rare prize being a pair of my Duct Tape Junle Clomps! Only L$13 per play. Pants are trasferable for sharing, the boots however are not. Good luck!

Hairfair 2010 is finally here!

Welcome to this years Hairfair, I am Helena Stringer, your Crazy Green Mohawk Wearing Space Tentacle Demoness Extraordinaire!

This year I bring you another round of 5 styles.

But there is a Twist! Always a twist!

I'm launching HALF of my new 2010 Hair Textures this year at Hairfair, so all the styles are all in lovely new colours. 2 of the packs, the Limited Edition Night Shines and the Special Edition Light Shines are up for grabs too and are 50% set to the Wigs for Kids Charity. I so got inspired while doing a lil robot hunt at a store, that I made this little number. I love my lil robo pets. Hope you enjoy them too!


Another of my "Inspired by shit laying around the house" pieces. This one of the discraded pearl earrings from my exploaded purse. No litterally, my purse exploaded, was not fun. Anyways I can see this piece on the catwalks for sure!


I did up a special colouration, just for Hairfair and only for Hairfair. So this is not only Exclusive, but Limited Edition too! I have it set to only L$100 with 50% going to Wigs for Kids.


The Frist of my Horoscope line, Virgo. This Unisex style has a "Wet" look and has a wing attachment for the head.


It can't be Hairfair unless The Stringer has a Mohawk! This bad boy is BIG! and has a fuckton of prims, but that is okay, you'll love it to bits once you see it's movement on your head!


This is my 50% Charity Item this year at Hairfair. It's my mens style, and I love it to bits. An awesome friend was making Ribbon/Knit textures and handed me tis one, and I've been sticking it on everything possible. I loved it on this hat, and just had to do soemthing with it. Might be a bit tame for The Stringer, but duuuuuude my man alt looks HOT! I want to nom on him, but then that is like self canabalisim isn't it?

Support a good cause, buy a pack(and it happens to look fab on the chics too, as with most male hairs, darn chicies!).

Hello everyone and welcome to Aurora Vale's summer hunt held by C&D Designs. This hunt is a camp/beach themed one, meant to be fun & give you time to explore the sim. It's also in celebration C&D Design's 3rd year anniversary. So put on your sun screen and hat and let's get going!

There are quite a few prizes from various designers. Some are paid ones, since the designer's have taken such good care in creating many great items. You are looking for seashells and these range from L$0 to L$50. They are hidden all over the sim, including sim tunnels and in the stores themselves. You have 2 weeks to find them all !

Here's a preview for some, as part of the hunt sign.



Prizes/gifts range from Camping gear, tents, campfires, inflated rafts, rainsticks, to beachwear, camp t's, & hair. More will be added as the hunt goes along and announced in the C&D Designs groups.

Woeful Wednesday-Week 1

The Stringer Mausoleum is in this event, and I have to say, The Stringer is very happy about it! Here is what I made for the event.



Death of a Goddess

A dedication piece made for my goddess of my biggest sl addiction. May she be forever worshiped in the hearts of my fellow addicts.

A new womens hair from The Stringer Mausoleum.

This specific Edition will be sold for the first week of ^v^Woeful Wednesday^v^ . It will be only available Wednesday August 11th for a price of L$50. After that a more "Tame" version of the hair will be inworld and it will be going back to normal pricing. Also it has one of my new 2010 Textures on it, so it's doublely special! I'll have next to the vendor L$1 pack of wearable tester hairs, so you can see the texture before you buy it. What is a wearable tester hair? Regular hair actually, no signs, copy/mod. It's just the way I do my testers, so enjoy!

The Stringer Mausoleum Says more Hair Please!

There is all sorts of stuff coming up for you guys, straight from me to The Stringer Mausoleum. I have tried a few more attempts at clothing, the alternative fair is on it's way, I've got another event at the end of the month. But do you know what the biggest thing is?

New hair and another skin sneak peak!

Hey guys!

I got some goodies for you!

But firstly I'm going to get a few other announcements over with.

I finally got my 3DCC event items in the store. There is only one Special Edition dress left. Also I put 3 of the Hair packs down 75% for a limited time.

The Rezzable event is over, so Alien Flora is now home. I also put 3 packs of it down 75% for a limited time.

The Opium Show was fun, I enjoy the first one, which I was in attendance for. I have the 2 new hairs from that in the store now. I had made a New Female Hair called Troian Mystic. Troian is a demon god of cosmos, the hair is sort of horny, and the event theme was spacey, so thats is where the name came from for that piece. The other is a hair you have all been bugging me for since I gave you guys a sneak peak last year, so Loaded is finally out. It's a Unisex Dreaded Mohawk.

I really wanted to wear this hair, so I dug deep into my oldie box, and redid a few things people were always bitching about on it. So it's a totally updated version of the old Quill hair, based off of a sea serpent character from a japanese Magna Book.

The Stringer Mausoleum Presents . . .

It's newest creation in Hair Fashion!

Taking part in Rezzable's "2010 . The Future is Now" Fashion Event, I, Helena Stringer, have made you something totally unexpected. I normally put alot of thought and time into what I'm going to make for these Rezzable Events, this one is no different. What was different was the fact that what I started out wth on a piece of paper, totally turned into something else once I started to work on it. I really didn't even notice until it was done that it was the total opposite of what I set out to make.

I bring you Alien Flora, mishmashed version of alien like forms and cables, tucked around a dreaded Princess Leia type warp around bun thing. See what I'm taking about? What was I on? Well it might not be cyber demony, but it sure is still "Stringerized".



I've got out for the event only, my Limited Edition Roboshines pack, for a special price. After the event it's gone forever!(the pack, not the hair, haha).

For those of you in on my Trading Card Program, I've doubled the Point Cards in all packs for the event only.
